Disability Ministry
Our Mission:
Our disability ministry is here to come alongside families impacted by disability. We are focused on creating a safe place for everyone in the family to fully participate in all aspects of worship. We believe that all people are created in the image of God and that all people can hear and respond to the Gospel. We are committed to partnering with families and teaching each individual in the way that they learn best.
Weekly Schedule:
Sundays
9:00 Awe & Wonder Class- This is a self-contained special needs class with a curriculum designed to reach individuals with developmental delays.
Wednesdays
Wednesdays are fully inclusive. We use Buddies to help children and students participate in all aspects of the service with their peers.
Our disability inclusion ministry serves any child or student who needs extra support to participate in church life. We offer:
Buddies- one-to-one support in the classroom
Awe & Wonder Class- a self-contained special needs class
Sensory Room- a space for children to take a break and regulate their bodies before returning to class
Sensory Items- fidgets, flexible seating, headphones, sunglasses, etc to help children and students get their sensory needs met in the classroom
