We believe the church is the Body of Christ - a Body made up of different members with different gifts and talents. (Rom. 12:5) The Bible teaches that God has designed the church this way so that we may serve one another in love and use our gifts and talents to build each other up. (Eph. 4:15-16; Eph. 5:21) Not only that, but as people who want to look more like Jesus, we recognize that He did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45) Following our Savior’s example, we sacrificially serve so that others might know Him and trust in Him with their lives.

Giving is described all through the Bible as an act of worship that is to be done cheerfully and generously as we recognize that God has given us everything we have! As the Creator of all things, all things belong to Him. (Psalm 24:1) Further, we give back to the Lord as a response to the Good News that God sent His one and only Son to die for us so that we might have everlasting life. (John 3:16) Jesus gave it all for us, so if we have trusted in Him, we gladly live with open hands and give back to Him through our tithes and offerings.
