Celebrate Recovery
Join us for praise and worship and inspirational recovery stories before breaking into our support groups. We have groups for those who have a friend or family member who is addicted or incarcerated, those battling substance abuse and those who are trying to deal with domestic and sexual abuse, anger, grief, divorce, co-dependence, etc. Celebrate Recovery recognizes the importance of God's healing power in our lives.
THE LANDING
WHAT IS THE LANDING? The Landing is a Christ-centered environment for 6 - 12th grade students to be honest and open about their hurts, habits, and hang ups. It’s Celebrate Recovery for students! Whether addictions like alcohol, or pornography, scars from the past like abuse or trauma, or ongoing battles with insecurities and fears, we believe the plan for growth is the same. We lead students through the Biblically based 12 steps by encouraging them to acknowledge and confess sin, make amends where needed, and continue to grow and give back. The Landing is a place to be real, and to find real hope in a God whose redemptive power can overcome any struggle. HERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT MAKE THE LANDING SO EXCITING: It’s experience based. Instead of students learning in a lecture format, they get involved with the lessons. They’ll write, draw, talk, move, answer questions and much more. It’s 52 weeks and it never stops. Just like Celebrate Recovery, The Landing goes all year long. Our hurts, habits and hang-ups don’t take a break so neither do we! The lessons are based on the Celebrate Recovery lessons. Students will experience lessons like, Denial, Forgiveness, Spiritual Inventory, and all of the 25 Celebrate Recovery lessons in ways that apply directly to them. It has 22 high quality videos from our partners The Skit Guys and Igniter Media. Students will write out their inventories and their testimonies.

Hope Is Alive Sunday
We will have one of the ministries we support visiting. Hope Is Alive (HIA) is a ministry CRBC has been supporting for years. Their mission statement is, "Helping Addicts & Their Families Find Freedom!" Hope is Alive is dedicated to transforming lives impacted by addiction through a holistic approach that includes sober living homes in six states, an innovative Healing Center for personalized recovery support, and compassionate support groups for families through Finding Hope.
We will be hearing a testimony from one of the residents during both services and then following the second service we will have a meet and greet time at the CUBE with some light snacks. This will be a chance for you and/or your group to come and meet some of the HIA residents and see how you may be able to connect with them by volunteering or get information for a loved one. We have all been impacted by addiction at some level. Come and see how God is using HIA to impact lives.
We hope to see you at the CUBE after the second service.
CRBC will host Hope is Alive Sunday at the Cube. For more information contact Clint Chamberlain at chamberlain@councilroad.org.

Students will write out their inventories and their testimonies

Students will write out their inventories and their testimonies

After the 6 p.m. fellowship, we will have praise and worship followed by teaching or testimonies from a volunteer pastor or fellow ex-offender who is now dedicated to Christ-centered living. This Sunday's Scripture: Philippians 1:12-30
Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.
15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. 21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.
27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.
